+ 24.8.1916. Painter. Pupil at the 'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles'. He then studied in Paris and later travelled to Italy, Spain and Germany. He established himself in Bladel on the Dutch border, and took documentary photographs in Brabant Campine (farms and peasant life). Photographs of fishermen and boats on the Belgian coast. His photographs served as models for his paintings.
