Emilius Josephus Alexander, ° 4.9.1845. Patent [E. De Coninck] of 15.6.1894 for "the manufacture of coloured photographic plates". As Emile De Coninck - Boone, he registered trademarks on 4.2.1895 for extra-sensitive bromide plates under the designation "Bicyclette" in French and "Radfahrer" in German. The identity of the manufacturing firm was omitted but must logically be "The Ed. Beernaert's Dry Plate C° S.A.", of which De Coninck had been a major shareholder since 27.12.1892 and where he was still a manager.

Manufacturer of "Aurore" brand plates. Steam-powered factory and offices at this address. Ed. Beernaert's brother-in-law and former manager of Beernaert Dry Plate Co. (see that name). He resigned in 1897 in order to take control of Valérie Guéquier & Cie. Théophile Broothaerts (see that name) was his Brussels agent in 1907. Left for Hasselt on 7.12.1908.
