Jan Baptist, ° 23.7.1856; + 29.11.1915. Manufacturer of photographic plates and papers. Initials "J.B." in Leuchs' "Adressbuch aller Länder der Erde" in 1911. A fire destroyed his entire operation at this address in March 1911. "The exterminating element [fire] was powerfully fed by the chemicals, paper, etc. used in making photographic plates and flames were soon sweeping heavenwards throughout the building" (Vooruit, 11.3.1911).
