"Thanks to the concerted combination of the printer-lithographer Vanderauwera with the photoengraving firm of Hoyaux & Cie, it has been possible to produce visiting cards at 10 francs per hundred for the public, bearing the purchaser's portrait like ordinary [cartes de visite] and of course his name and address" (L'Indépendence Belge, 25.11.1895). A certain E. Hoyaux was listed under picture postcards in Brussels, Rue de Ligne, 26 in 1923.
