° 21.6.1844; + 29.10.1921. Doctor of Science. Son and assistant of the palaeontologist Laurent Guillaume de Koninck (see that name), he was a chemist at the Jonet glass factory in Charleroi from 1872 until 1876, then professor of chemistry at the University of Liège. In 1878, he introduced a dry emulsion process and studied numerous photographic processes, showing especial interest in the properties of potassium chloroplatinate, ferric oxalate, and gold and platinum chlorides. Member of the ABP from 20.11.1877. Vice-president of the Liège section of the ABP in 1878-1879, 1883 and 1889-1890; president in 1879-1880, 1883-1885, 1890-1891 and 1896-1897. Summer residence in Hamoir-sur-Ourthe from 1886 onwards.
