Albert Clément David Jean Marie, ° 22.5.1858; + 18.12.1923. Son of the orientalist painter David de Noter (1818 - 1892) who moved to Algeria with his family reportedly in 1867. Already recorded as a photographer living in Alger at Rue Duchêne, 2 at the occasion of his wedding there on 24.4.1883. Advertising photographic supplies here in June 1887. "Only depository in the provinces of Alger and Constantine for the new Lumière plates of Lyon..." (Le Radical Algérien, 17.6.1887). Appears to have collaborated with his brother Georges (see that name) at an unspecified date prior to 1887.

"Only agent for Kodak in Algeria" (Le Républicain de Constantine, 11.1.1898). Still advertising photographic supplies at this address in January 1923 (L'Echo d'Alger, 13.1.1923). De Noter sold his business in photographic supplies at this address to "Jules" Alfred Marie Madon (° Alger [ALG], 12.1.1870) in March 1923 (La Dépêche algérienne, 9.4.1923). By 1939, J. Madon was still listed as successor of "Maison A. de Noter" at this address.
