Laurent Joseph, ° 12.5.1837; + 1.6.1908. Sometimes spelled Deschepper. Younger brother of Louis François and Joseph François (see those names). Previously an operator at an unspecified studio in Bruges in the 1870s, when he lived at Rue aux Laines, 22. Thereafter seems to have led an itinerant career. Advertising at the first Roulers address on 24.10.1880 and at the second from 25.12.1880 to 1.1.1881. Left Bruges for Harelbeke on 17.4.1883, returned from Audenaarde on 3.2.1890 and then left Bruges again for Ath on 5.5.1893.
1893 - 1900 Ath, Rue de la Gendarmerie, 5
Emile Gliot (see that name) probably operated for De Schepper from April to May 1896.
1900 - 1908 + Ath, Rue du Jeu de Paulme, 14
Successor: Walschaert Edouard
Recorded as a photographer who died at this address on his death certificate. The document was signed by his successor Edouard Walschaert, who might well have been an operator for De Schepper.
