Louis Constant Maximilien, ° 22.7.1852; + 26.10.1914. Became a naturalised Belgian citizen on 14.10.1899. Member of the “Cercle d’études photographiques et scientifiques d’Anvers”; committee member, 1909-1912. Delegate to the "Union nationale des Sociétés belges de photographie", 1909. Autochromist from at the latest November 1908, when he already owned a collection of more than 150 autochromes (Le Matin, 17.11.1908). Gave a talk on the autochrome process to the "Cercle royal artistique" on 24.2.1909, having previously given presentations to the "Université populaire" as well as his own “Cercle d’études photographiques". Director of the Antwerp trade museum when he died.
