Founder member of the ABP ("De Geest"). Not listed in the 1873 and 1875 trade directories at the location given in the ABP card file, Rue du Cadran, 1. Charles Neyt (see that name) operated at this address until 1874. Therefore it cannot be excluded that Degeest was associated with Neyt in some way, either as a collaborator or successor, despite being described as an "amateur" in the ABP membership lists.
