Activity

1865 Anvers, Rue des Tanneurs, 29
Predecessor: Goulder Charles Successor: Grandmaison Hubert (& Cie)
"Pierre" in the population registry and on his wedding declaration, ° 10.12.1842; + 14.8.1910. On CV, printed slip "P. Deloeul et Cie" on a Goulder mount at this address. This must have been a very brief passage since there appears to be no trace of him in the population registry there.
1866 * / Bruxelles, Place du Grand Sablon, 21
Arrived at this address in mid January 1866.
1866 * - 1875 / Bruxelles, Rue Neuve, 2<65-70> or 3<71-75>
Predecessor: MacNicol Théophile G. J.; Flaman # Successor (at no. 2): Klosterhalven Bernard (in 1878 ca)
A journeyman photographer by the beginning of the 1860s, he established himself around 1865 as a photographer on his own account. Arrived at this address on 13.12.1866. Also active in Tournai as operator with Guillaume Gytier (see that name) in 1869 and in Paris, Boulevard Rochechouart, 108 around 1869-1870. At this address he sold a CV of the Manneken Pis in festive attire. Moved to Rue Neuve, 3 on 12.5.1873. Deloeul's photographic activity in Brussels came to a dramatic end on 30.6.1875 when he was sentenced to four months imprisonment and fined 100 francs for having sold or distributed indecent images (La Meuse, 1.7.1875). Following his release, he moved to Paris. If he operated there as a photographer, there is no record of him owning his own studio.
1896 - 1899 Bruxelles - Saint-Gilles, Rue de Mérode, 85
Predecessor: Buffet Ch. #  Successor: Schmidt M.A. #
Returned from Paris to this address on 16.9.1893. Perhaps active from this date on.

1905 Bruxelles, Rue du Pépin, 41
1906 - 1910 + Bruxelles, Rue de la Pépinière, 6
Studio still listed here under Deloeul's name in the directories, 1911-1914. "Deloeul, J." listed under photographers at this address from 1920 to 1929.
