Pharmacist-chemist; member of the "Société belge de microscopie". His photomicrographs were reproduced in collotype in his study "Les végétaux inférieurs. Thallophytes et cryptogames vasculaires. Classification en familles, en genres et en espèces", Brussels, Manceaux, 1886 (1st fascicule). He described his "industrial collotype process applicable to the reproduction of photomicrographs" in the "Bulletin de la Société belge de microscopie", vol. 12, 1885-86, pp. 92-96.
