His wife was recorded as a retoucher-photographer herself. Subsequently recorded as a photographer domiciled in Brussels - Schaerbeek, Rue Impériale, 8 at the birth of a son in April 1905.

A picture postcard of Middelkerke with his credit is postmarked 18.7.1906 and some of his early CVs mention "Villa St-Pierre" as the studio's location. Kodak supplies in 1907. Photographer - publisher of picture postcards, notably a series on the "Hôpital Maritime Roger de Grimberghe", c. 1908. The spelling "de Poorter" was frequently used at this address. Fled to Nice [Alpes-Maritimes, F] in 1914. His widow was operating as a photographer at no. 63 of this street in the interwar years. Their son "Adolphe" Liévin Jean (° Brussels - Schaerbeek, 5.4.1905; + Gross-Rosen [PL], 1945) was also recorded as a photograper domiciled in Middelkerke at the occasion of his wedding there on 21.4.1931.
