Initially a portrait photographer as well as publisher of picture postcards here. On the occasion of his wedding in Aywaille on 12.9.1907, recorded as a photographer resident in Aywaille. Probably still active in Aywaille, c. 1913.

Collotype. Publisher of picture postcards with the collection title "La Belgique Historique". "Albums, catalogues and industrial work of all kinds" [Mertens, 1912].
1913 - 1914 > Bruxelles - Laeken, Rue de l'Archiduc Rodolphe, 10
"Photo-engraving, collotype and similar branches" [Mertens, 1914]. Publisher of picture postcards with the collection title "La Belgique Industrielle". The street was renamed "Rue de Moorslede" in 1919. Active at this address throughout the 1920s as well as in Paris [F], Avenue Jean-Jaurès, 10 in 1915 and Rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth, 53 from 1919 and into the 1920s. Desaix published postcards with the collection title "La France Historique" under his Paris imprint. Following Desaix’s death in 1930, his widow took over the firm which traded in postcard publishing elsewhere in Brussels - Anderlecht throughout the 1930s.
