° 1.11.1856; + 27.5.1938. Son of Auguste Despret. Author, painter, publisher; longstanding communal secretary at Monstreux. Founder member of the ABP ("Desprez"). In the ABP membership lists, he is recorded as a photographer from 1875. Patent of 31.8.1885 for "a photographic camera" [camera with hinged front panel and two swivel pins on the inner casing for sealing it off]. Apparently initially active at Grand' Place at his father’s studio before taking it over on his father's death in 1897.

Moved to this address on 10.12.1906. Active at this address throughout the interwar years as a photographer, printer and stationer.
