Secretary of the "Cercle Photographique d’Ixelles". Fifth prize (25 francs) winner at the Gevaert competition organized during the Brussels International Exposition in 1910. Listed as a member of the "Cercle d'Art Photographique" in 1922. Elder brother of Maurice Devaivre (1890 - 1979) who was a publisher of photography books and editor of a photography magazine in Brussels during the interwar years. Author of a textbook published under his brother's imprint: "Cours de photographie pratique en douze leçons", Brussels, Editions Maurice Devaivre, [1924].
