Louis Joseph, ° 25.11.1864; + 18.2.1934. Recorded as a photographer domiciled in Ypres at the occasion of his wedding to Elisa Pauline Pacco (° Gistel, 9.12.1870) in Gistel on 5.10.1893. "Large portraits in carbon and portraits painted in oils". Cased ferrotypes under the trade name "Photographie Renommée", Ypres, no street address, 1882 ca - 1886 ca. It appears that Louis learned photography from his father Leopold, an itinerant or fairground photographer.

"Duhameeuw - Pacco" at this address. On CV, "All types of frames made. Enlargements in carbon and platinum a speciality". Already advertising at this address in January 1903. During World War I, the family left for Poperinge. After the war, the studio re-opened and is still operating, a century later, at no. 23 of the same street.
