Agricultural engineer and warden of waters and forests. Likely living in Beringen in 1907-1909. During a meeting of the "Société royale de botanique de Belgique" on 4.2.1912, Durieux showed slide projections illustrating an excursion made by that organisation in the Limburg Campine in 1911 (Bulletin de la Société royale de botanique de Belgique, 1912).
1912 - 1914 Anvers
His photographs of sand dunes were published in Jean Massart's "Pour la Protection de la Nature en Belgique", 1912. Gave a talk, illustrated with slide projections, about the Campine forests at the general assembly of the "Société centrale forestière de Belgique" in Brussels - Ixelles on 25.3.1914.
