Jules Eugène Hubert, ° 15.6.1843; + 25.10.1931. Recorded as a watchmaker in Dinant from 1866. Lived at Quai de la Batte, 6 in November 1873 before leaving for Liège. Returned to Dinant c. 1875, still working as a watchmaker and living firstly in Rue Saint-Pierre, then in Rue Grande. Fabrion first turned to photography at this period. CVs signed J. Fabrion with no street address. Member of the ABP from 11.7.1876 ("F. Fabrian"). Although Fabrion was last listed as a member in 1880, the relevant file card gives 1888 as his date of removal. Moved to Brussels in 1885 where he continued to work both as watchmaker and photographer.

Recorded as a photographer resident in Brussels at the occasion of the wedding of his son Nestor Camille Edmond (° Dinant, 20.10.1880) in January 1904. The groom was also recorded as a photographer resident in Brussels, Rue de Lenglentier, 2, the parental home. Jules Fabrion was also a self-taught poet, song-writer and pamphleteer for world peace.
