° 20.5.1832. Electroplating and metal working. Factory in Vilvoorde. Registered in Brussels as an industrialist aged 64 in July 1896. Knight of the Leopold Order. His funerary chapel in Laeken cemetery, cast in bronze from his own factory, bears the inscription "Fondu Family 1868 - Models and Bronzes made by the Fondu firm in Vilvorde". Father of Charles Fondu (see that name).
