Georges Médard Emile Constant, ° 27.4.1877; + 12.4.1948. Surname also transcribed "Geüens". He married Madeleine Jeanne Eugenie Marie Willaert (° Bruges, 25.7.1879) in Bruges on 10.9.1901. Desired to add general photographic supplies to his business according to Mendel (1904). Cameras, chemicals and general supplies for photography. In April 1911 he announced that he would stop dealing in photographic supplies (Journal de Bruges, 4.4.1911), but he was still advertising a device called the "Photo-Canon Américain" in June 1911 (La Comète Belge, 15.6.1911). The "Photo-Canon", a metal camera, was loaded with 100 plates which could be developed in-camera to produce, "within a minute... an enamalled portrait for mounting on brooches or lockets". At this period, Geuens - Willaert was the proprietor - editor of a fortnightly news-sheet, "La Comète Belge: organe des industriels, artistes et marchands belges indépendants" an official publication of the "Union Mutuelle des Marchands".
