Ephemeral Brussels branch of a studio chain headquartered in Paris [F] under the direction of Albert Prouzet (° Villeneuve-sur-Lot [Lot-et-Garonne, F], 3.6.1840; + Bourg-en-Bresse [Ain, F], 9.2.1892). His multiple-studio outfit traded as "Grande Photographie Populaire" and at this juncture counted three addresses in Paris - Boulevard de Sébastopol, 17 and 47 and Rue Montmartre, 125 - as well as branches in Lyon, Rouen, Le Havre, Marseille, Reims and Saint-Quentin. "Speciality: enlargements in permanent carbon. We operate daily, including Sundays and holidays, from 7 in the morning to 6 in the evening" (L'Echo du Parlement, 23.4.1882).
