Pierre Edouard, ° 12.10.1833; + 27.4.1902. At his wedding in Brussels on 19.7.1873, recorded as a photographer domiciled in Brussels - Saint-Gilles. Views of Waterloo. Manuscript annotations on a portrait CV proclaim Grégoire's socialist sympathies: "Member of the International, founder of "La Ruche" (one of the first cooperatives in Brussels) / mechanic - firefighter - photographer". Grégoire was again recorded as a photographer residing in Brussels - Saint-Gilles on 28.7.1879, when he was a witness at the wedding of fellow photographer Gustave Choppinet (see that name).

Specialist in views of Belgium. There is an album of views of Malines from about 1890 ("Grégoire", no forename) in the print room of the Royal Library in Brussels. The Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) in Brussels possesses a series of 27 images of the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville taken in 1890 and a collection of 2 000 glass negatives taken by E. Gregoire, "specialist in views of Belgium, Flemish milkmaids, popular characters", for picture postcards that he published in collotype from 1902 onwards. Gregoire's death certificate recorded him as a photographer who died at his domicile in Brussels - Forest, Cité Ouvrière, 43. Still listed in directories until 1905; it is unknown who exploited Gregoire's stock of negatives after his death and until c. 1911.
