Herman Gérard Mathys, ° 28.1.1862. Initial "A." in some directories. Photography and photographic supplies. Registered as a cinematograph operator on his arrival in Antwerp, coming from Paris, on 30.3.1906. Grubben founded a firm in Antwerp in January 1907, in partnership with François Golta, for "the sale and rental of cinematographic equipment and films". The firm was headquartered in Rue Annessens, 15 and was probably dissolved within a year. Grubben’s photographic supply house proved a more durable venture.
