Auguste Louis Joseph, ° 5.7.1865. Recorded as a draughtsman living in Brussels - Saint-Gilles in February 1895 and a clerk living in Brussels - Saint-Gilles at the occasion of his wedding in Brussels - Ixelles on 21.4.1900. President ("Director") of the photography section of "Le Foyer Intellectuel". Two of his photographs were published in the "Revue Internationale de Photographie" in 1907. Active as a pictorialist during the interwar years, as well as the author of two handbooks. Still a member of the photography sections of "Le Foyer Intellectuel" and of the "Université Populaire de Forest" in 1922. Around the same period of time, Hallut supplied bucolic subjects for picture postcards published by the Nels firm.
