° 18.6.1843. "Opposite the post office". Sometimes spelled "Hanet" in the directories. Recorded as painter-decorator domiciled in Brussels - Saint-Gilles at the occasion of his wedding in Chimay on 17.6.1868. Subsequently, a painter and decorator in Ath and Binche, then at this address painter, photographer, and graphic artist. Studio opened on 24.2.1883. Member of the "Société photographique de Courtrai", 1894-1895 ("P. Hannett"). On CV, reproductions of three Belgian prize medals of unspecified sources. Founder member of the "Cercle artistique de Tournai" in 1885. Hannet was a partner in "Georges van Léaucourt & Cie", plate manufacturers in Courtrai when the firm was founded on 15.10.1893. The partnership was dissolved in 1894. Hannet transferred the studio to his son-in-law Fortuné Stainier by late 1894 and retired to Heist as a person of independent means.
