Virgile Marie, ° 9.4.1861. Chemical engineer, he published several research papers in metallurgy. At his wedding in Liège on 30.12.1886, already recorded as an engineer-chemist domiciled in Trooz - Forêt (Liège). Signed "V"; one unverified source indicates that he may have gone by the name of Victor. Research into photographic lenses. Views of Germany, Switzerland, and the Dolomites. Translated technical literature from German into French, including "Le développement des papiers photographiques à noircissement direct" by Ed. Liesegang (Paris, 1898). Vice-president of the Liège section of the ABP in 1895-1896. Fled to Nijmegen [NL] at the outbreak of World War I.
