Donat Auguste, ° 19.8.1876. Collotype printing and chromolithography. Printer-publisher of picture postcards. Recorded as an accountant domiciled in Herstal at the occasion of his wedding in Liège to Joseph Paule Anna Marie Jadoul (° Waremme, 11.1.1879) on 3.6.1899. "Large selection of postcards in plain or tinted collotype, in chromolithography, photocolour and silver bromide" [Mertens, 1903]. At the end of 1909 it was reported that Heintz was leaving and hoping to find a successor for his business that had been "the only collotype establishment in the province of Liège for almost 10 years" (La Meuse, 15.12.1909). The firm and its assets were sold off at a public auction on 15.2.1910, including a fast press for large formats, a laboratory for photography, copying and collotype and "a very large choice of negatives with the most significant views of Belgium".
