Joannes Baptiste Desiderius, ° 30.4.1815; + 28.12.1883. Printer, lithographer and bookseller. Offered stereoscopes and stereo views for sale amongst a myriad of new year gifts.
1891 Gand, Place Saint-Bavon, 22
Remained the trading name of the business. J.B.D. had previously worked with his brother Theodore (+ 1899) so it can be assumed that the printing works continued to be run by members of the Hemelsoet family. Collotype printing, in particular memorial cards, others bearing the same printer's credit in 1906. Also retailer of photographs, notably views of Ghent by Léon & Lévy.
