° 22.4.1855. On the occasion of his wedding in Brussels on 29.10.1879, he was recorded as a photographer resident at Rue Bodeghem, 10. His father Moïse / Mozes (° Zutphen [NL], 1830), described as a hawker on his son's wedding certificate, was later recorded as a photographer in Brussels - Anderlecht (of which Cureghem is a district) in 1884 and 1889. Hening was recorded as a fairground photographer in Antwerp on 19.6.1894, resident in Brussels - Cureghem, Rue Memling, 9.

"... Mr A. Hening (fils), proprietor of a splendid mobile studio well known in these parts. It was the finest photographic establishment at last year's Charleroi fair. Its red façade, with three entries and two storeys and its artistic balcony with magnificently turned colonnades, need no further description. We will have the advantage of making closer acquaintance with Mr Hening next month at the Charleroi fair" ("Grande photographie électrique internationale", La Gazette de Charleroi, 11.6.1893).
