° 8.1.1818; + 29.2.1889. Herman was a master lithographer who ran a printing works in Brussels, Rue du Boulet, 4 then 9 throughout the 1850s and 1860s. There is no evidence that he used photography for professional purposes. Herman moved to Brussels - Molenbeek on 1.5.1872, clearly having made his fortune, since the trade directories then record him as a person of independent means. Founder member of the ABP. Still a lithographer, according to the ABP membership lists. At the time of his death, Herman was also a communal councillor.
