° 1.2.1865. Natural son of Pierre-Jean Cornelisse(n) (see that name). Before moving to Brussels, he had run studios in his native Rotterdam [NL] and then Tilburg [NL] as well as Montluçon [F]. "Ex-operator of leading studios in Paris. Supplier to the Imperial Russian Household". His previous studio in Rotterdam (and his father's residence intermittently from 1873), Weste Wagenstraat, 97 continued to operate under the trade name "A. Héron" until the 1930s.
