° Ypres, 24.11.1852. Brother and partner of Lucien Jean Charles Louis - see entry for Heylbroeck Frères. "Rue de l'Etoile" was renamed "Rue de Haerne". Hector's photographic activity predates adoption of the trading name "Heylbroeck Frères" for their portrait studio here: series on military manouvres, 1890; views of digging the Ypres-Comines canal, 1891. A certain Hector Heylbroeck was declared bankrupt on 21.7.1900, when described as a tradesman in Kemmel (Journal d'Ypres, 21.7.1900).
