° 18.6.1867; + 16.9.1928. Carpenter, jeweler and photographer. Reported to have received instruction in photography from August De Jaeger (see that name). Moved from Kloosterstraat to this address, his permanent studio, in 1905. Succeeded by his son Maurits (1898-1964), who was active in the 1930s and 40s and his grandson Alfons junior (1930-2006), active for the rest of the twentieth century.
