He had previously operated in Amsterdam and had been an itinerant photographer in Utrecht [NL] as early as 1856. Patent [D. Huisman] of 30.6.1868 for "a photographic paper for retouching portraits". Left for Rue Jean d'Outremeuse, 36 on 7.1.1872. His son Jacob (° The Hague [NL], 1845) was registered at this address as a photographer and left for Brussels, Rue Bodeghem, 21 on 5.10.1873. There is no trace of activity of the latter in the capital.
