Levi, also known as Louis, ° 10.10.1880. Second-generation fairground photographer. Probably already active on the Ghent fairground in 1911. His father Isaac (° Nijmegen [NL] 2.12.1855) was recorded as a photographer living in Breda [NL] at another son's wedding in Brussels - Anderlecht on 20.5.1908, while a third son Philippe (° Ghent, 14.1.1885), acting as witness, was recorded as a photographer living in Brussels - Anderlecht. Various files in the foreigners' registry attest to the father's activity as an itinerant or fairground photographer in Antwerp on an annual basis in the 1890s. He was also recorded as a photographer operating on the Malines fairground in July 1903. "Photo Américaine Jacoby" continued to operate throughout the interwar period.
