Gérard Jean, ° 31.7.1863; + 3.7.1925. "Former operator at the best studios in Liège, Ghent and Maastricht". Recorded as a photographer domiciled in Liège, Rue Légia at the occasion of his marriage in Liège on 21.4.1891. Subsequently a witness at the wedding of André Huisman's daughter in Liège on 30.8.1894 when he was recorded as a photographer domiciled in Liège. "Group photographs a speciality" [Directory Desoer, 1898]. Secretary of the "Association des Photographes et Marchands de Produits Photographiques", 1904. Studio not listed in some directories in 1911-1913 and may no longer have been in operation.

Address not recorded in the ABP membership lists before World War I. When his wife Hélène Visser (° Liège, 24.1.1864; + Liège, 27.11.1910) died at this address in 1910, an obituary notice credited her with helping her husband build his photographic business.
