Louise Stéphanie Millet, ° 31.1.1867; + 26.4.1946. Girls' primary school teacher. Wife of Félix Journaux (see that name), whom she married in Brussels - Ixelles on 25.3.1893. Member of the "Touring Club de Belgique" ("Madame Félix Journaux"). Gave multiple lectures on her European travels to the "Touring Club de Belgique" accompanied by her own slides. According to Wouter Egelmeers' research, Louise Journaux set up the educational slide lending service of the city of Brussels in 1909. She organised the existing slides, drew up an extensive catalogue that was distributed to all city schools, and later organized the distribution of slides to schools. She also advised the city on what slides to buy and was in charge of the production of new photographic slides, which were sometimes based on her own photographs, for instance taken during her holidays in the Alps. Louise Journaux retired in 1923.
