Léon Jacques Marie Corneille, ° 10.5.1858; + 14.1.1942. Banker and exchange broker. One of the first proponents of the artistic trend in Belgian photography which would lead to Pictorialism. Also see under his pseudonym Léon Noël [1]. Remained active in the interwar years. The municipal archives in Antwerp possess a set of 67 views of old alleys and closes in the historic city centre, dated from 1929 to 1939.
