° 28.11.1829. Formerly an engraver living at Rue aux Choux, 30. Arrived at this address on 24.12.1860; by then he was a lithographer, then a photographer in 1864. Keym was described as a printseller trading in Passage Saint-Hubert in June 1863 when he was found guilty of exhibiting pornographic lithographs and photographs of works of art, including Titian's Venus. The photographs were removed from the category of offensive material on appeal as being "copies of works of art long exhibited in public in museums and galeries" (L'Echo du Parlement, 20.9.1863). In 1865 Keym was registered as a print publisher, Galerie du Roi, 16, the address where he was resident in 1866. On CV, "E. Keym & C°" in 1866. Left on 5.5.1868.

Arrived on 5.5.1868, after being given planning permission to construct a photography studio here by the city council at its meeting of 17.2.1868. Portraits, copy printing, and views. Left for Brussels - Ixelles on 7.12.1871.
