Subsequently recorded as a photographer resident in Brussels, Rue de Fer, 22 at the occasion of his wedding in Brussels on 27.1.1866 to Joséphine Bertine De Jonge (° Ostend, 18.4.1844; + Brussels - Saint-Gilles, 22.3.1868). The death certificate of his wife records him as a photographer domiciled in Brussels - Saint-Gilles, Chaussée de Forest, 26.

His son Antoine Valentin David Joseph (° Ostend, 16.1.1885; + Ostend, 20.3.1962) was recorded as a photographer in Roeselare at the occasion of his wedding to Augusta Maria Carpentier (° Booitshoeke, 19.5.1883; + Ostend, 23.9.1956) in Roeselare on 20.6.1914. At that time, his father was still recorded as a photographer domiciled in Roeselare. In January 1915 Antoine Lagast - Carpentier was recorded as a photographer at this address and he would be active here as a photographer and publisher of picture postcards in the interwar years, including a series on war damage in Roeselare.
