Describing himself as a person of private means and stating that he was leaving Arlon, Lambert put the property on sale by public auction on 19.11.1902. Perhaps the sale initially failed because Lambert, still stating that he was leaving Arlon, announced he was selling furniture and other house contents from Rue de l'Hôpital on 29.3.1904, including "photographic equipment" (L'Avenir de Luxembourg, 27.3.1904).
