Bonnemaison [Calvados, F], 1827 - Brussels - Saint-Gilles, 1869
Activity
1865 * - 1866 / Malines, Rue de la Chaussée, 60
° 6.3.1827; + 22.10.1869. Operator in Bretagne’s studio, "Near the church of Saint-Rombaut". Arrived at this address in September 1865 from Paris where he claimed to have been a photographer in Rue de Bretagne, 32. There was indeed a photographic studio at this address: Jules Fanguin was listed here in 1863, and A. Houssin from 1866 until 1868. On 24.8.1865, Lebissonnais had been sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 500 francs for public indecency. His flight to Belgium thus looks very like a means of avoiding his punishment.
1866 * Bruxelles, Rue Neuve, 29
Operator photographer. He arrived at this address on 24.3.1866 from Malines. Worked for Rocheblanc at this address. Recorded as a photographer domiciled in Brussels at Rue des Chartreux, 80 on his death certificate. The document was signed by fellow photographers Jean Dobbelaere (° Bruges, 11.1.1844) and Pierre Pellering (° c. 1844).
