Louis Germain, ° 29.10.1885. Younger brother of Alfred Carlier, with whom he probably formed a brief partnership in 1902. Recorded as a photographer living in Tournai in October 1904 and more specifically in Rue du Bourdon Saint-Jacques at his wedding in Tournai on 18.2.1907 to Olga Marie Ghislaine Amélie Pletinckx (° Epinois, 30.3.1884). Thereafter traded in Péruwelz under the designation "Phono-Photo": see entry for Alfred Carlier. The studio opened at this address in April 1914. Louis Carlier moved his domicile from Péruwelz to this address on 31.7.1914. Also sold photographic supplies. Still advertising here in 1922.
