° 31.5.1873; + February 1938. Arrived in Belgium in May 1901. Registered in Brussels - Saint-Gilles from 10.5.1902 to 2.1.1914. Postcard publisher and wholesaler of albums. "Manufacture of scenic postcards and fancy goods" [Monod, 1905]. He announced that his firm commissioned pictures from photographers all over Belgium. Collotype printing.
1908 - 1914 > Bruxelles - Laeken, Avenue Stéphanie, 38<8-12> or 27<13-14>
"Collotype printing. Colouring studio" [Mertens, 1909]. Still active at no. 27 in 1915. Subsequently recorded at Boulevard du Nord / Boulevard Adolphe Max, 108 in 1918 where he was still listed under picture postcards until 1931. In the interwar years, he was a prolific publisher of both scenic and novelty postcards under the trade name "Marco". After World War I, his firm encouraged battlefield tourism with its many views of the devastated regions. Committed suicide by ingesting poison.
