Merchant tailor. In 1893 he invented a shutter made entirely of wood. In 1894, jointly with René Rousseau, he presented a type of screen, and the following year, in the Bulletin of the ABP, he reported on a magnesium flashlamp. Also in 1895, again with Rousseau, he showed snapshots. President of the Namur section of the ABP in 1922.
