Josef Heinrich Friedrich, ° 27.9.1858; + 22.3.1922. Brother of Josef Mayer (see that name). Arrived in Antwerp from Cologne [D] on 5.4.1884 when he registered as a tradesman. By 1902 he was recorded as the president of a mutual organisation "De Voorzorg" in Antwerp and director of a joint-stock company "Drogueries et huileries anversoises". Autochromist from at least April 1908.

Mayer appears to have spent World War I in Scheveningen [NL] before returning to Antwerp just before his death in 1922.
