Itinerant daguerreotypist "from Paris". At this address from 14.7.1843 to 24.8.1843. "The largest families can be copied in one single group at a very moderate price". "Portraits and family groups, in all sizes, in instantaneous Daguerreotype and in the shade" (Journal d'Anvers, July 1843). Afterwards he travelled in the Rhineland of western Germany. In June 1844 he was in Cologne where he advertised: "Family groups, paintings copied. Home visits made". In Düsseldorf in October 1844 ("Menetrier"), in Krefeld in January 1845 and Koblenz in April 1845. In Strasbourg [F] in 1847, he used the calotype and the daguerreotype interchangeably.
