Activity
1870 - 1874 / Louvain, Rue de Tirlemont, 65
Predecessor: Vander Elst Edouard
° 12.6.1843; + 22.3.1920. A witness at the wedding of his predecessor Edouard Vander Elst (see that name) in Louvain on 10.2.1869, Morren was already recorded as a photographer there.
1874 * - 1894 / Louvain, Rue de Namur, 73<74-80> then 20<80-94>
Successor: Morren Frères
Photographs of floats in historical cavalcade, 1884. Collections of portraits of the professors at the "Université Catholique de Louvain" in 1884. He uses as backdrop for his CV portraits a photographic view of the Louvain town hall. From around 1890 onwards, "Studio P. Morren": his two sons took over management of it.
1883 - 1884 Moll, Groote Markt (on the premises of Veuve Moorkens)
Itinerant at this address in November 1883 and January 1884.
1886 Gheel
Itinerant in Geel in November 1886.
1890 * - 1893 / Malines, Rue Sainte-Catherine, 54
He moved to this address on 3.4.1890. Still at this address in the 1902 and 1904 Mendel directory, apparently an error.
1894 * - 1914 > Malines, Rue de Bruel, 52 or 50<14>
"Permanent portraits", i.e. carbon prints. He also sold cameras and occasionally published picture postcards. In 1912 he was reported as having two employees. Still listed here in 1920. By 1922 he had been succeeded by Ferdinand Bossut (° Malines, 23.7.1895) who dealt in general photographic supplies.
