Carl Friedrich or Charles, ° 9.6.1831; + 1.1.1870. Itinerant daguerreotypist and photographer. Arrived from Frankfurt am Main [Hesse, D] on or before 9.11.1852. "Photographs on glass". Left for Elberfeld [Prussia] on 8.2.1853. Later operated in England and France, by May 1861 in Wiesbaden [D], then in Frankfurt am Main from November 1861 as "C. Mylius jun[ior]". He left Wiesbaden for Alexandria [Egypt] in 1863. Nephew of the better known Carl Friedrich Mylius (1827-1916), who operated in Nuremberg [Bavaria, D] beginning in 1850 and then back in his native Frankfurt am Main from 1854 to 1890.
