Julien Albert, ° 21.11.1871. Chemist and painter. Committee member of the "Cercle Photographique d'Ixelles" in 1905 and 1906; subsequently president of the club, 1908-1911. Under the auspices of the club, he gave free public courses in photography in 1905 and 1908. To mark the club’s 15th anniversary, Navez gave a lecture on 26.10.1908 "The progress of photography in fifteen years", illustrated with magic-lantern slides and autochromes. Technical director of the "Union nationale des Sociétés belges de photographie", 1909.
